Eye Heroes draws to a conculsion

In 2013 at Moorfields Eye Hospital, we committed to combating preventable sight loss. We pioneered the UK’s first child-led public health initiative, empowering all levels of society to prioritize eye tests. Now, nine years later and amidst a global pandemic, we reflect on our journey, sharing key moments, achievements, and lessons. This report reviews our decade-long experience, examining the evolution of the Eye Heroes model to adapt to the post-pandemic world. It is designed for easy reading.

  • include games, videos, role play and more

  • are suitable for children aged 8–12

  • are run by trained volunteers in a fun and memorable way.
